Kitchen Table Theology
Where Coffee, Conversation, and Theology Meet. During my 40 years in ministry, I’ve developed an increasing burden for what I sense to be an increase in biblical illiteracy, not only among those in our churches, but also in the young men and women entering the ministry. Conversely, I am hopeful, because I also sense a hunger from people to learn and know biblical truth and the things of God has revealed to us in Scripture. Our Kitchen Table Theology team has developed a list of over 150 doctrinal topics which I, along with one of my cohosts, Jen Denton or Tiffany Coker, examine weekly. Our goal is to educate and share biblical truth on the same level as if we were sitting at your kitchen table with a Bible and a pot of southern pecan coffee in front of us. Welcome to the table!

Hello Kitchen Table Theology Family! In this episode, Pastor Jeff and Jen Denton continue their discussion on Angelology. So far in this series, we’ve discussed what angels are, what they do within God’s purpose, our relationship with angels, and Demonology. Today we continue our discussion on Demonology and discuss what they do.

- Satan was the original sinner (1 John 3:8)
- Satan’s purpose is to tempt others to sin
- Demons oppose and attempt to destroy every work of God
- Satan's and demons’ tactics are to use deception, murder, and destructive activity in the attempt to cause people to turn away from God (2 Cor 4:4)
- Demons are limited by God's control and they have limited power
- In Job, we see that Satan had to ask permission from God in order to torment Job
- God is all-powerful (Isaiah 46, Mark 13)

- Anything that takes us away from the work of Christ and that we put above God in our hearts is idol worship
