053 Your Position in Christ
Apr 18, 2021 Season 2 Episode 53
Pastor Jeff Cranston

“The elevated status which is ours in the Kingdom is from Christ. It’s in the spiritual realm, in God’s Kingdom. That, however, doesn't mean that we wait until we get to heaven to have any authority or take our place of authority. We are there now.”

This is the first episode of our new series, "Your Position In Christ". Today Jen and Pastor Jeff discuss what it means when the Bible tells us that we are raised, seated, and united with Christ, and how that sheds light on God’s will for our lives and our spiritual walk.

[00:01 - 02:50] Opening Segment

  • Introducing our new series "Your Position In Christ".

[02:51 - 06:14] What Does ‘Your Position In Christ’ Mean?

  • Have you ever found yourself saying, “I'm not in the position to help you right now?”
  • A lot of Christians have fallen into the problem of not knowing what their position is in Christ.

[06:15 - 09:27] Walking in the Life Christ Wants for Us

  • Paul tells us in Romans 5:17 that we are free to reign with Christ.
  • We’ll never confidently walk in this freedom if we don't know we have it.

[09:28 - 16:47] What Then Is Our Position In Christ?

  • Ephesians 2:6 tells us:
    • God has raised us from the dead along with Christ
    • We are seated with Him in the heavenly realms
    • We are united with Christ
  • As Christians it is part of our purpose and God’s will for our lives to take the position He has given us to rule and reign with Christ.

[16:48 - 18:38] We Are Spiritually Raised Up With Christ

  • If your life is in the pits, know that you have been lifted out of that pit through Christ Jesus.

[18:39 - 21:10] We Are United With Christ Jesus

  • Galatians 2:20 tells us that we have died with Christ and now we live with Christ; it is Him Who lives through us.

[21:11 - 25:55] Closing Segment

  • How can we live in more victory?
  • Remember you are seated with Christ in the Heavenlies!
  • Final words from Pastor Jeff and Jen.
